2012 was the inaugural running of the event and the feedback from competitors was excellent with everyone enjoying the scenery en-route, the friendliness of marshalls at water stations and the general good natured feel of the event. The finish in the lovely town of Much Wenlock was also very popular as there was good support for all runners as they completed the challenge.
There are tough climbs early on in both races but after that the route is undulating and very runnable, both routes are slightly over the official Marathon and Half Marathon distance but i believe that this is better than being slightly under distance!
Current records are;
Men; Nick Thomas 3hr 35m 14s
Women; Amanda Wright Smith 4hr 01m 28s
Men; Chris Daniels 1hr 39m 29s
Women Michelle Clarke 1hr 51m 57s
